Homes by Crown Isle is a premier home builder in BC's Comox Valley. Committed to the highest environmental standards and with a desire to maintain the aesthetic, they first learned of the Ergosun Integrated Solar Roof Tile from our Lions Bay project homeowner and knew it was something they wanted to explore.
Our Approach
After a homeowner in the Crown Isle community installed conventional rooftop solar, Homes by Crown Isle wanted a better aesthetic for the development. We were approached to work on the project and ultimately were commissioned to provide solar power on the development's show home as a prominent display of environmentally conscious power generation that also blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of the community.
The Installation
Installed by local electrical contractor Drewry Electrical Ltd, the 525 panels were installed in 2 days. As is evident in photos of the home, the panels were installed in one group on the west-facing roof slope for maximum power generation.
The Final Product
The Crown Isle show home is capable of generating 8 kW per hour which will supplement its hydro usage once occupied. This particular property is also featured in the 2020 Millionaire Lottery. Visit Homes by Crown Isle for more info on this incredible home and community.
